The Main Menu
Upon entering the program, you are brought to the main menu screen. The title at the top displays the car that you are connected to. 5 option boxes are available. Clicking these boxes leads to various screens.
  1. Digital Sensor screen
  2. Line Graph screen
  3. Replay screen
  4. Stored Fault Codes screen
  5. Diagnostic Tests screen

*Note - Before the first two screens can be implemented, 1 or more sensors must be selected in the Sensor Selection screen.

Sensor Selection Screen
This screen allows the user to select any number of sensors to monitor. Press OK to begin datalogging the sensors you selected.

After selecting sensors, the user can save up to 4 sets of sensors by clicking set. Choose the sensors you would like, then click one of the 4 buttons circled to the right. You can now press these buttons at this screen to bring up any of the 4 sets you have programmed.

*Note - To show the Boost field, you must first enable it in the Preferences screen.

Digital Sensor Screen
This screen shows a digital layout of the sensors you have chosen to monitor. For example, the screen to the right shows a digital readout of RPM, O2 Front, and Airflow. If more than 4 sensors have been selected, The circled set of buttons will scroll through the list.

The large numbers in the boxes represent the current reading of that sensor. The numbers below that represent the peak number that the sensor hit during the session. The number in the upper-right corner of the screen is the number of samples per second that are being read.

The menu in the middle:

Clicking this button will take you back the Main Menu screen.

This button will take you back to the Sensor Selection Screen.

Clicking this button will start a logging session. Clicking it again will stop it.

This button will show the selected sensors in a Line Graph (see next box).

Line Graph Sensor screen
This screen shows a digital layout of the sensors you have chosen to monitor. For example, the screen to the right shows a graphical readout of RPM, O2 Front, and Airflow. If more than 4 sensors have been selected, The circled set of buttons will scroll through the list.

The bold numbers in the boxes represent the current reading of that sensor. The non-bold text represents the peak number that the sensor hit during the session. The number in the upper-right corner of the screen is the number of samples per second that are being read. The 1, 2, and 3 listed in the upper-left  corner allows the user to read 1, 2, or 3 graphs per screen. Again, the circled buttons scroll through the selected sensors.

The menu in the middle:

Clicking this button will take you back the Main Menu screen.

This button will take you back to the Sensor Selection Screen.

Clicking this button will start a logging session. Clicking it again will stop it.

This button will show the selected sensors in a digital readout (see box above).

Replay menu screen

By selecting the replay button from the Main Menu screen, the user is presented with a list of the sessions logged. Each time and are pressed, a session is logged and will appear here. The numbers after this represent the date in month.day.year format. And then the time the log was recorded in military time.

  • Buttons
    • Review - This will take you to the Replay screen of the highlighted choice.
    • Cancel - Will return you to the Main Menu screen.

Replay screen
This screen allows the user to view logged sessions. Like the Sensor screens, the user can view 1, 2, or up to 3 graphs at one time. The number in the upper-right corner displays the progression of time through the reading. The controls at the bottom (explained below) show various ways the user can move through the reading. Controls in black are available, outlined ones are not. (The reading to the right is at the vary beginning, which is why go to beginning and rewind are not available.

Goes back to the Main Menu screen.

Goes to the beginning of the log session.

While paused, steps the log backward.

Plays the log, and if pressed while playing, pauses it.

While paused, steps the log forward.

Goes to the end of the log session.

Control of the replay can also be controlled by dragging the stylus over the screen.  If it is held down in one place, it will display the readout of the sensors value where the "00000" text is.  If you move the stylus to the very right hand of the screen, it will continue to play forward while you hold it there.  If you hold the stylus at the far left of the screen, it will reverse through the log file.

Stored Fault Codes/Check Engine screen
If you notice the Check Engine light is on in your car, the ECU has some stored codes which will tell you what is wrong.  This screen is able to show you what your car's computer is seeing wrong.  This allows you to go back and look for problems with the specific sensor.  Hitting Clear Codes will clear all of these codes and force the computer to check to make sure they are not still there.

Diagnostic Tests screen
The diagnostic tests/solenoid tests screen allows you to test specific solenoids in your car.  This is useful for troubleshooting if you have a cylinder that is not firing, or a fuel pump relay that has a fuse burnt out.  Certain tests (Injectors) are only available when the car is running.  And others (fuel pressure and pump) are only available when the car is off.

The Status: indicator will show you the progress of the test.

Goes back to the Main Menu screen.

Preferences screen
  • The first option allows the user to choose which set of sensors to immediately start logging (chosen from the Sensor Selection Screen.) This means that instead of starting at the Main Menu screen, you will begin at the Digital Sensor screen with the sensors you have selected.
  • Checking the second option will only log every other sample.  This cuts log file size in half for those who have small memory sizes.
  • Implementing the third option means that while in the Digital Sensor screen or Line Graph screen, you can touch anywhere on the screen to start and stop logging instead of having to click on .
  • The Use EGR Signal for Boost is a new feature.  With our special kit you can now log boost through your EGR sensor wires.  Please check our product page for details on this when it becomes available for sale.
